| Network Server Unit (NSU)
The Network Server Unit (NSU) is a highly reliable, rugged Server computer designed for use in the aircraft environment. It has been designed to meet the ARINC 763, DO-160D environmental and EMI requirements for use in airborne applications, while using Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) subsystems. This provides an easy upgrade path to the latest generation computing technology without the costly redesigns associated with custom products.
Functionality of the NSU is configured by loading Windows NT applications onto the NSU. These applications can move data between the NSU and the airport networks by wireless LAN links and capture data from avionics, cabin or cockpit sources during flight. Many applications can be run on this flexible flight qualified server to meet the needs of different airline organizations.
