System Overview

Designed to meet the extensive data monitoring requirements of modern digital aircraft, Teledyne Controls' iDMU is a new-generation data management system that succeeds the Teledyne legacy DMU, already used by more than twenty-five operators, in over 700 installations. Integrating the latest technology, the iDMU delivers increased performance, while significantly reducing the circuit card count, which results in higher reliability, reduced weight and lower maintenance costs.

The enhanced ACMS function of Teledyne's iDMU accepts data from a variety of acquisition systems, which facilitates aircraft/engine performance monitoring, in addition to daily flight operations monitoring. It also features a user-programmable interface that allows airlines to customize their own ACMS applications. Additionally the iDMU integrates a data recording function via PC Card media for raw and message data recording, as well as an Ethernet connector for high speed data transfer.
