The MagnaStar® Personality Memory Module (PMM) is a piece of software that allows for the storage of configuration data backup in the Cabin Data Bus Repeater (CDBR-2), and automates data transfer between the CDBR-2 and MagnaStar® core unit, the ARTU (Air Radio Telecommunication Unit).

In the event of replacing an ARTU, the data is retrieved from the CDBR-2, therefore avoiding the re-configuration of the entire system, and reducing maintenance effort. Now a standard feature in all new MagnaStar® systems, the PMM is also an add-on that operators can implement to update their existing MagnaStar® equipment.
