Dassault Aviation Orders Teledyne Controls'
Mini-Flight Data Acquisition Unit (MFDAU)
LOS ANGELES - June 23, 2000 - Teledyne Controls, a business unit of Teledyne Electronics and Communications, recently received $500 thousand order from Dassault Aviation to supply Mini-Flight Data Acquisition Unit (MFDAU) systems on four models of the Falcon aircraft series, including the 50EX, 2000, 900 EX, and 900C. Delivery is scheduled to begin November 2000.
Teledyne Controls' MFDAU processes mandatory data acquisition, as required by the current FAA and European JAR-OP requirements. The lightweight MFDAU, designed for future data acquisition, plays an active role as an intermediary device, acquiring and processing mandatory aircraft and engine data for storage in the flight data recorder known as the aircraft's black box. When installed with the Aircraft Condition Monitoring System (ACMS) option, and Teledyne Control's Telelink™ datalink system, the MFDAU provides the means to transmit real-time critical aircraft-condition information to the ground for data analysis.
