Teledyne Controls Announces MITA Availability
LOS ANGELES - September 6, 2002 - Teledyne Controls, a business unit of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY), announced the immediate availability of the MagnaStar® ISDN Terminal Adaptor (MITA), designed to seamlessly integrate the MagnaStar® airborne telephone with the HSD-128 Satcom unit. The MITA provides the interface between the MagnaStar® and the High Speed Data (HSD-128) Satcom system, enabling global Inmarsat Swift64 ISDN and Mini-M Aero voice services via the MagnaStar®'s user interfaces (handsets, data jacks, etc.).

The HSD-128, MagnaStar® and MITA products are components of Teledyne's SmartCabin Office™, which provides business traveler with the same communication connectivity in the air as is available on the ground. Rounding out the SmartCabin Office are the CommServer™, ruggedized airborne communications server built for the airborne environment; WASP, Wireless Access Service Points, for wireless networking of multiple aircraft cabin devices, including personal computers, to an aircraft's LAN and communications systems; and SmartCabin GroundLink® which provides a high-bandwidth and economical terrestrial data connection.
MagnaStar® and MITA are designed and manufactured by Raytheon, while HSD-128 is designed and manufactured by EMS Technologies. These products are distributed exclusively to the business and general aviation markets by Teledyne Controls.
