LOS ANGELES, CA - November 27, 2006 - Teledyne Controls, a business unit of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY), announced today that TAROM, the national flag carrier of Romania, has chosen Teledyne Controls' data management solutions to enhance its Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) capabilities. In the context of this modernization program, TAROM purchased the Teledyne FDIMU (Flight Data Interface Management Unit) for flight data acquisition and recording, along with the AirFASE® and Vision ground-based applications for flight data replay, analysis and animation. Used in conjunction, the three Teledyne products are designed to provide the Romanian operator with an advanced end-to-end FDM system.

The Teledyne FDIMU, designed to perform the flight data acquisition and recording FDM functions, will collect mandatory and ACMS (Aircraft Condition Monitoring System) data from TAROM's aircraft. Through the FDIMU removable PC card, the recorded data will be transferred from the acquisition system to a ground computer equipped with AirFASE and Vision. The AirFASE system will fulfill the data processing, flight analysis and reporting tasks, while Vision will deliver advanced 3-D animations, providing enhanced visualization tools to show complex operational scenarios and facilitate incident investigation.
