Four Airlines of European TUI Group Select Teledyne Controls' Flight Data Monitoring Tool AirFASE™
LOS ANGELES, CA - October 7, 2004 - Teledyne Controls, a business unit of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY), announced today that Hapag-Lloyd, TUI Airlines Belgium, Britannia UK and Britannia Nordic, four airlines of Europe's leading tourism group TUI AG have selected AirFASE™, a flight data analysis software tool designed to assist aircraft operators to manage their Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) programs.
"AirFASE is a comprehensive FDM solution that will be instrumental in supporting our flight safety program," said Captain Eckhard Jann, Safety Pilot in the Investigation Team at Hapag-Lloyd. "This all-in-one system integrates advanced tools for flight data analysis and reporting, as well as 3D animation features that will aid incident investigation and enhance training. We also selected AirFASE because it was an integral part of the end-to-end FDM solution Teledyne Controls can deliver to the TUI Group," added Mr. Jann. In the context of a fully automated FDM system implementation, the TUI airlines plan to use, in conjunction with AirFASE, Teledyne's Wireless GroundLink® for the recording and wireless transmission of their flight data.
